How to make a Christmas cracker (and understand the corny joke it contains)!

During the workshop participants will make a Christmas cracker with Martin as well as create some corny jokes to go inside the cracker. Martin will also tell the story of the Christmas cracker and pass on the secrets of a what makes a good Christmas cracker (revealed to him by his aunt who, for many years, was an ace Christmas cracker maker).

This is a practical session, so please wear casual work-a-day clothes.

For the workshop, you will also need to have the following items:
- one piece of crepe paper (bibuła) – any colour, size A4
- one piece of light card (blok techniczny) – white, size A4
- two pieces of coloured paper – two different colours, size A4
- some cotton thread
- a very small object that can be given as a present
- a roll of Sellotape (or a similar type of tape)
- a glue stick
- a pair of scissors

Dancing with the fungi is a practical creative workshop in which we will use fungi as our guides to activate our creativity, move our bodies and minds, develop scores for improvisation and fictional fungi taxonomy.

This is a practical session, so please wear casual clothes. You will also need a pen and paper to write on.

Could the drama "Romeo and Juliet" happen anywhere? Would this story be significant if their names were different? We will treat Shakespeare's drama as a cabinet from a Swedish shop. Based on the DIY method, we will disassemble a selected Shakespeare's drama and replace certain elements to create our own work. To do this, we will work in groups. Each group will work on one scene. The narrative of the play may remain unchanged, but the place, time and names of the characters will certainly change. At the end of the workshop, each group will have the opportunity to present their work and we will applaud new interpretations of Shakespeare's drama.

Czy dramat "Romeo i Julia" mógłby wydarzyć się wszędzie? Czy ta historia byłaby tak znacząca, gdyby ich imiona były inne? Sprawdź to! Potraktujemy dramat Szekspira jak szafkę ze szwedzkiego sklepu. Na podstawie metody DIY rozłożymy na części wybrany dramat Szekspira, zamienimy pewne elementy i stworzymy własne dzieło. Żeby tego dokonać będziemy pracować w grupach. Każda grupa zajmie się jedną sceną z dramatu. Tekst sztuki może (nie musi) zostać niezmieniony, ale na pewno zmienione zostanie miejsce, czas akcji i imiona bohaterów. Na koniec warsztatów każda z grup będzie miała okazję zaprezentować swoją pracę i oklaskami przywitamy nowe interpretacje dramatu Szekspira.
